A holiday by the water

The Hotel Les Vieux Acacias is ideally located between the Atlantic Ocean, the Gironde estuary and Lake Hourtin. You can practice many water activities, but also sunbathing and idleness. On Lake Hourtin, one of the largest lakes in France, discover the Ile aux Enfants, a place where everyone can have fun thanks to the playground, the Château Fort and the inflatable games.

The wine routes

Our charming hotel in Queyrac is located in the heart of the Médoc wine region. This region is known for its “thousand and one castles”. The castles designate the wines and wineries, but some also present real castles to discover. During your escapade on one of the many wine routes, you will pass by some of the best known such as: Château Lascombes, Château Saint-Estèphe, Château Lafite Rothschild, but also 2 châteaux of Queyrac, Château Carménère and Château Saint-Hilaire. Ask for advice from your hosts who will be able to document you on an itinerary according to your desires.

Cordouan Lighthouse

In half an hour's drive, you can be at the Port du Verdon and reach the Cordouan Lighthouse. This lighthouse is one of a kind and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Since 1611, the Cordouan Lighthouse has watched over sailors and the Gironde estuary. Since that time, the Cordouan Lighthouse has been inhabited and maintained by guards, all year round. From the Atlantic Coast, you can reach the Cordouan Lighthouse for a guided tour of this exceptional place.

Montalivet

The town of Montalivet is a pleasant seaside resort where you will enjoy practicing water sports or finding yourself on the large fine sandy beaches, for lazing around and swimming. From Montalivet, you can also go on charming hikes or bike rides. The town of Montalivet is also known for its large pine forest where you will enjoy walking and organizing picnics. Its summer market awaits you every morning from June to September.

Soulac sur Mer

The town of Soulac-sur-Mer is about a 20-minute drive from our hotel. You can take advantage of the large beaches for strolling or strolling, but you can meet up for a pleasant family visit to the Soulac villas.
